It is spring, (even with the snow) and there are new beginnings in my life. I am so thrilled and honoured to be a part of the new beginning for the Owen Sound DevaTree Yoga Teacher Training. It is amazing to dive into the study of yoga and to see others doing the same. Yoga is so much more than the postures (asanas) that we move into and at the same time this is what brought me to study all of the other aspects of yoga, (meditation, pranayama, mudras, mantras and yogic philosophy). It has become a study that I plan to continue for the rest of my life. The more I learn the more questions I have and the more I realize how much more there is to learn.

It is exciting and at the same time I feel rooted and grounded in my asana practice. I love to go to a real live class with a local teacher and if I can’t fit that in then I turn to an online class or my own practice.

In the spirit of spring and all things new I updated my “go to” yoga playlist. I used it this weekend at the yoga teacher training and wanted to share it with the yoga teachers and students and/or the music lovers out there.

It starts off slow, picks up to a few songs that are for a more vigorous yoga or dance movement and then slows down again. I skip the faster songs when leading a gentle practice and play all of the fast ones on a day when everyone seems to want to dance and move.

Enjoy!
